# Cutgraph Studio > Cutgraph Studio is a local, Fair Source (FSL-1.1-ALv2; source-available, not open source) video editor where the transcript is the timeline. It transcribes footage on the user's own machine with WhisperX, cuts video when words are struck, adds motion graphics with a built-in drawing engine and a sample character called Lens, burns in captions, and exports with ffmpeg. An optional co-pilot uses the user's own Anthropic API key and only proposes edits. v0.1 is a free developer preview designed for source installation, tested on Windows 11, best-effort on Linux, not supported on macOS. The developer preview is about to open.
