Make the launch video like you write docs.
You shipped the product. The demo, the launch clip and the changelog video shouldn't need a week in an editor or a React video framework. Write it, say it, direct it, export it.
Ship it. I'll do the cameo.
01
Write the script
Paste it, or have the co-pilot draft it from a one-line idea. It lays the script out as scenes.
02
Record the voiceover
Read it aloud. The words align to your voice, so every cue lands where you said it.
03
Direct the shots
Title cards with badges, up to three phone screens, a sign-off, Lens on the word that matters.
04
Export everything
16:9 for the site, 9:16 for the socials, 1:1 for the feed. Re-exports reuse cached scenes.
Read every line that runs.
The code is public under FSL-1.1-ALv2. Python runs the pipeline and the co-pilot tools. A TypeScript drawing engine renders both preview and export, and ffmpeg encodes. No black box between you and your video.
Studio serves its UI to your browser from your own machine and refuses everything else.
Preview and export share motion-core, with parity fixtures checking the Python and TypeScript rules agree.
The video-document schema is published under Apache-2.0, separately from the app's FSL licence.
New drawn characters without touching the engine. Packs are trusted local code, for now aimed at developers.
Claude in the loop, not in charge.
The co-pilot runs on the Claude Agent SDK with your own Anthropic API key. Its tools return proposals; Accept applies them through revision-checked routes. Deterministic work like rendering and transcription stays plain Python and Node.
Simulated with canned answers: this page sends nothing anywhere. In the app, the co-pilot sends your request and the relevant transcript text (never video or audio) to Anthropic using your own key.
Use it, change it, ship your videos.
You can run Cutgraph, modify it, use it for client work and redistribute it with its notices intact. You can't offer it, or something substantially like it, as a competing commercial product or service.
Each version becomes Apache 2.0 on the second anniversary of its release. The licence covers the software, not the videos you make with it.
The licence in plain words
