Pricing

Free. Local. No meter.

The developer preview costs nothing. It runs on your machine, so transcription and export have no per-minute charge. The only possible bill is the optional co-pilot, paid to Anthropic.

Zero dollars. I checked.

The co-pilot bill

Your key, your meter.

The co-pilot is optional. When you use it, requests go straight to Anthropic on your own API key and Anthropic bills you for the tokens. We add nothing on top and never see the traffic.

What it costs depends on the model you pick and how much you ask: each request sends your prompt plus the relevant transcript text. Check Anthropic's current pricing page for per-token rates.

Everything else, from transcription and cutting to animation, captions and export, runs on your hardware and costs nothing per use.

Fair Source, plainly

The licence in plain words.

Cutgraph is published under the Functional Source License, FSL-1.1-ALv2. It's source-available, not open source: the code is public, with one restriction for the first two years of each version.

You can

  • Run it for yourself or inside your company
  • Read, copy and modify the code
  • Use it for non-commercial education and research
  • Edit videos for clients with it
  • Redistribute it, keeping the licence and notices

You can't

  • Offer it, or something substantially like it, as a commercial product or service that competes with Cutgraph
  • Ship a modified version under the Cutgraph name or logo (descriptive mentions are fine)

Two years later: each version also becomes available under the Apache License 2.0 on the second anniversary of its release. The video-document schema is Apache-2.0 already.

This is a summary, not legal advice. The Source preview coming soon, Source preview coming soon and Source preview coming soon in the repository are what count.
